Happy New Year!!

And it's a Happy New Year from Yves and Lolita, here is a little reminder of a few designs you will have come across this year.
New for 2011, were some little glass design necklaces and the quirky, unique Harris Tweed Collection of Bow Tie brooches and Necklaces. These were designed using fabric from a working mill on the Isle of Lewis.
What have we been up to so far? Apart from recovering from Christmas and New Year Break. Well, Yves is currently busy completing an upholstery course (Amazing!), progress report and photos to follow, Lolita will be continuing to reinvent the use of Harris Tweed through Jewellery and creating more glass designs. New for Lolita, some trial at machine embroidery!! Watch this space.

Out of the Blue Arts Market

A big thank you to all our visitors for coming along last Saturday at out of the Blue Art Market. We have a stall this Saturday 10th of December, and the famous bruncheon is on with Live Music.

Our Trip to Paris

A few snapshots of our amazing trip, some Parisian's shop windows and insprirational corner of the craft and design fair: Le salon creations et savoir faire.
Four days filled, wondering round the 3rd district of Paris, le Marais, filled with hidden passages and courtyards with "createurs parisiens", galleries, boutiques... Heaven!!!

And finally some dates to come and discover our latest creations, we will be at Out of the Blue, Dalmeny street, Edinburgh on both dates:3rd and 10th. And extremely excited about it all! So what have we been doing all this time: . . . well... Yves has been working on some superb new pieces of Enamel and copper Whilst Lolita has been creating necklaces using Harris Tweed. Inspirational trip to Paris

Yes!! or oui!!! We're off to Paris next month, 3 nights... 4 days to discover and be inspired. First stop: the French Marie Claire idees show (Le salon Marie Claire Idees 2011), packed with designer makers from all over the world. Can't wait...And of course, one can't visit the French Capital without a detour to La droguerie and L'entree des fournisseurs, a pause or two for un petit cafe ou deux... photos to come on our return.

In the meantime, we are busy preparing for upcoming art markets and fairs. Dates for your calendars coming soon.

Final proofing!

We're so excited, this was our final meeting with Kate, our graphic designer, to agree on our variety of colour themed banners and business cards. It's all happening, can't wait to get them printed!! Look out!
